Selekcija Studentskog Filma

Student Films Selection

This year’s Student Selection has, as its main characteristic to move the boundaries, observed from any angle. It is my pleasure that we succeeded to extend the number of countries, that will participate in this year’s program. We have 17 short films from film schools from southeastern Europe and Mediterranean. This year’s films portray, in the best way, the goals of this selection. These are brave and mature films that are carrying new and fresh author approach whether they are exploring the genre conventions or contemporary art tendencies. Although the selection is exclusively in form of live-action films, the audience will have the privileged circumstances to see the program which offers short form of films. Whether they are dealing with life in isolated villages or transitive cities, ancient or contemporary wonders and paranoias, intimate relations or social networks influences, students undoubtedly confirmed that we live in time of significant changes, which are not easy to understand and that have numerous ways to interpret. At the end these films encourage us to take action, to have open and brave dialogs which is the main goal behind student film selection.
