Biografija

Božidar Kalezić diplomirao je na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti u Beogradu, na odsjeku filmske i televizijske režije. Radio je na televiziji, u dokumentarrnom programu. Snimio je veliki broj dokumentarnih emisija od kojih su mnoge učestvovale u zvaničnoj konkurenciji festivala širom svijeta. Dobitnik je prve narade za dokumentarni film Naša je pobeda na festivalu u Oberhauzenu, Njemačka. Za seriju dokumentaraca Politički robijaši Jugoslavije, koja je snimana u jugoslovenskim zatvorima i zatvorskim ludnicama, nagrađen je na jugoslovenskom televizijskom festivalu u Neumu, Bosna i Hecegovina. Autor je dokumentarnog filma o protivniku titoizma Vladu Dapčeviću, Robijaš jugoslovenskih tamnica, Vlado Dapčević. Dobitnik je nagrade Duda Timotijević za antiratni dokumentarac Sudbina porodice Mićić, epilog, a za režiju je dobio nagradu Radio televizije Beograd i Oktobarsku nagradu Grada Beograda. Autor je knjige Televizija, tvrđava koja leti, a o njegovom radu svjedoče dva djela: Televizija kao sudbina autorke Srebrenke Ilić i Dokumentarna televizija, Venci od trnja Božidara Kalezića, autorke Dragane Bošković. Dobitnik je dvije nagrade za životno djelo, na 70. Martovskom festivalu dokumentarnog filma u Beogradu i od Udruženja filmskih umetnika Srbije.

Bozidar Kalezic graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, at the department of film and television directing. He worked in television, in the documentary programme. He has filmed numerous documentary shows, many of which have participated in the official competition of festivals around the world. He received the First Prize for the documentary film Ours is the Victory at the festival in Oberhausen, Germany. For his documentary series Political Prisoners of Yugoslavia, which was filmed in Yugoslav prisons and psychiatric institutions for inmates, he was awarded at the Yugoslav Television Festival in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the author of the documentary film about the anti-Tito dissident Vlado Dapcevic, titled Prisoner of Yugoslav Dungeons – Vlado Dapcevic. He received the Duda Timotijevic Award for his anti-war documentary The Fate of the Micic Family – Epilogue, and for directing, he was awarded by Radio Television Belgrade and received the October Award of the City of Belgrade. He is the author of the book Television, the Flying Fortress, and his work has been documented in two books: Television as Destiny by Srebrenka Ilic, and Documentary Television – Wreaths of Thorns of Bozidar Kalezic by Dragana Boskovic. He is the recipient of two lifetime achievement awards, one at the 70th March Festival of Documentary Film in Belgrade, and another from the Association of Film Artists of Serbia.
