Sinopsis

Riječ trauma ima dosta nijansi. Dokumentarni film Ispovijest otvara temu seksualnog uznemiravanja u crkvi, koje je rediteljka lično iskusila. Ona se osvrće na svijet kakav je bio prije njene traume, i traga za odgovorima na pitanja da li će nakon nekog vremena uspjeti da se oporavi, i da li će smoći hrabrosti da ispriča o tome svojim roditeljima.

The word trauma has many shades. The documentary Confession opens up the topic of sexual harassment in the church, which the director has experienced first-hand. She looks back at the world before the trauma, and searches for answers herself to the questions of whether she will be able to come out of it after some time, and whether she will find the courage to tell her parents about it.

Rebeka Bizubova se počela rano u životu zanimati za bilježenje prolaznih trenutaka. Tema porodice, njene bliskosti i zajedništva, ali i problema i teških odnosa, predstavlja glavni fokus njenog rada. Usmjerena je na intenzivne emocije, nastojeći da produbi njihovu površnost i neodređenost. Rebeka stvarnost često doživljava kao niz slika. U svojim djelima, riječi koristi minimalno, dok se često oslanja na simbole i značenja. Njen moto glasi: bolje je jednom vidjeti nego stotinu puta čuti.

Rebeka Bizubova’s interest in capturing temporary moments emerged early in her life. The theme of family, its closeness and unity, but also problems and difficult relationships are the main focuses of her work. She focuses on intense emotions, trying to deepen their shallowness and indeterminacy. Reality for her is often perceived as images. In her works, words are used minimally, often working with symbols and meanings. Her motto is: it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times.
