Najveći crnogorski festival filma i jedan od najznačajnijih u Jugoistočnoj Evropi, 39. Filmski festival Herceg Novi – Montenegro film festival biće održan od 22. do 28. avgusta 2026. godine.
Publiku i ovog avgusta očekuju najnovija regionalna ostvarenja, najbolji filmovi evropske kinematografije, dokumentarni filmovi iz cijelog svijeta, studentski filmovi, nove TV serije, kao i program posvećen filmskoj industriji Montenegro Film Rendezvous.
Selektor takmičarskog programa dugometražnih igranih filmova je novinar i filmski kritičar Vuk Perović, dokumentarnog programa reditelj Vladimir Perović, dok je selektorka studentskog programa rediteljka Sara Stijović. Umjetnički direktor Festivala je dramski pisac Stevan Koprivica.
Pored filmova koji će se takmičiti za nagrade, publika će imati priliku da pogleda i izbor istaknutih ostvarenja evropske kinematografije u programskim selekcijama Kino Evropa i Mreža festivala jadranske regije.
Selekcija TV Niša, uvedena prošle godine, i ovog avgusta donijeće publici u Herceg Novom pregled najnovijih ostvarenja u produkciji televizijskih serija u regionu.
Projekcije će biti održane na više lokacija u Herceg Novom, koje tokom festivala postaju bioskopi na otvorenom – tvrđave Kanli kula i Forte mare, Trg Mića Pavlovića i bašta Kuće nobelovca Iva Andrića. Ovi jedinstveni ambijenti gledanje filmova pretvaraju u poseban doživljaj i predstavljaju jedno od prepoznatljivih obilježja Festivala.
U saradnji sa Filmskim centrom Crne Gore, treći put će biti organizovani dani filmske industrije Montenegro Film Rendezvous, koji okupljaju autore, producente, selektore i filmske profesionalce iz cijelog regiona, otvarajući prostor za nova partnerstva i koprodukcije.
Pokrovitelji 39. Filmskog festivala Herceg Novi – Montenegro film festivala su Ministarstvo kulture i medija Crne Gore i Opština Herceg Novi, a izvršni producent je Javna ustanova kulture Herceg-fest.

Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival from August 22 to 28
The most important film festival in Montenegro and one of the most significant in South-East Europe, the 39th Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival will be held from 22 to 28 August 2026.
This August, audiences can once again expect the latest regional productions, outstanding titles from European cinema, documentary films from around the world, student films, new television series, as well as a programme dedicated to the film industry – Montenegro Film Rendezvous.
The selector of the Feature Film Competition Programme is journalist and film critic Vuk Perović, the Documentary Programme is curated by director Vladimir Perović, while the Student Programme selector is director Sara Stijović. The Artistic Director of the Festival is playwright Stevan Koprivica.
In addition to the films competing for awards, audiences will also have the opportunity to watch a selection of notable achievements in European cinema within the programme strands Kino Evropa and Adriatic Audience Award Programme.
The TV Niche Selection, introduced last year, will again present an overview of the latest regional television series productions to audiences in Herceg Novi this August.
Screenings will take place at several venues across Herceg Novi, which during the festival are transformed into open-air cinemas – the fortresses Kanli Kula and Forte Mare, Mićo Pavlović Square, and the garden of the Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić’s House. These unique settings turn film screenings into a special experience and represent one of the Festival’s distinctive features.
In cooperation with the Film Centre of Montenegro, the Montenegro Film Rendezvous industry days will be organised for the third time, bringing together filmmakers, producers, programmers and film professionals from across the region, creating opportunities for new partnerships and co-productions.
The patrons of the 39th Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival are the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro and the Municipality of Herceg Novi, while the executive producer is the Public Cultural Institution Herceg-fest.
