The Seagull served as Yugoslavian President Tito’s peace-promoting ship between East and West. This documentary essay traces its reconstruction through the testimony of the last officer, whose story transcends societal transitions. Meanwhile, locals near the shipyard participate in a carnival-like ritual, symbolically burning an effigy to dispel all evil.
