Više od 60 filmova, novi programi i omaži legendama.
Herceg Novi će od 23. do 29. avgusta još jednom postati regionalni centar filmske umjetnosti, domaćin 38. izdanja jednog od najznačajnijih festivala u Jugoistočnoj Evropi, 38. Filmskog festivala Herceg Novi – Montenegro Film Festivala.
Najznačajniji filmski događaj ljeta publici donosi više od 60 ostvarenja u tri takmičarske selekcije i revijalnim programima, pod sloganom „Sve boje filma“.
U ambijentu tvrđave Kanli kule biće prikazani dugometražni igrani filmovi, koje je selektovao novinar i filmski kritičar Vuk Perović. U fokusu su filmovi iz Crne Gore, koja ove godine bilježi rekordan broj ostvarenja – kako većinskih, tako i manjinskih koprodukcija, kao i ostvarenja iz Slovenije, Srbije, Hrvatske, Kosova, Sjeverne Makedonije i Bosne i Hercegovine.
Bašta Kuće nobelovca Iva Andrića biće mjesto susreta sa dokumentarnim filmovima iz cijelog svijeta, koje je selektovao reditelj Vladimir Perović.
Nova generacija autora predstaviće svoje radove u selekciji studentskog filma, koja se ove godine održava na novoj lokaciji – u Starom gradu, na Trgu Mića Pavlovića, uz selektorski potpis rediteljke Sare Stijović.
Posebnu pažnju izaziva nova selekcija nazvana TV niša, ove godine revijalna, u okviru koje će biti prezentovana najnovija ostvarenja u produkciji televizijskih serija i održana takmičarska sesija mladih crnogorskih autora.
Program Kino Evropa, kao i filmovi Mreže festivala Jadranske regije, biće prikazivani u dvorani „Park“.
Na tvrđavi Forte mare publika će moći da uživa u specijalnim projekcijama posvećenim legendama: „Buka“ – filmski portret virtuoza bubnja Dragoljuba Đuričića, „Vude, ti si pobijedio“ – o životnom i umjetničkom putu oskarovca, reditelja, scenariste, animatora i profesora Dušana Vukotića i „Haustor“ o istoimenom, kultnom muzičkom sastavu.
Jedna od specijalnih projekcija rezervisana je i za dokumentarni film “Stanić, Stoljeće”, o velikom slikaru Voju Staniću, u režiji Andra Martinovića.
U saradnji sa Filmskim centrom Crne Gore, po drugi put će biti održani dani filmske industrije „Montenegro Film Rendezvous“, koji će okupiti autore, producente, selektore i profesionalce iz cijelog regiona, otvarajući prostor za nova partnerstva i koprodukcije.
Pokrovitelji 38. Filmskog festivala Herceg Novi – Montenegro film festivala su Ministarstvo kulture i medija Crne Gore i Opština Herceg Novi, a izvršni producent Javna ustanova kulture „Herceg-fest“.

Over 60 films, new programs, and tributes to legends
From August 23 to 29, Herceg Novi will once again become a regional hub of cinematic art, hosting the 38th edition of one of Southeast Europe’s most significant film festivals – the 38th Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival.
The most important film event of the summer will present over 60 works in three competitive sections and non-competitive programs, under the slogan “All Colors of Film.”
In the atmospheric setting of Kanli Kula Fortress, feature films selected by journalist and film critic Vuk Perović will be screened. The focus will be on films from Montenegro, which this year records a historic number of productions – both majority and minority co-productions – as well as films from Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The garden of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić’s House will host documentaries from around the world, curated by director Vladimir Perović.
A new generation of filmmakers will present their works in the Student Film selection, which this year takes place at a new location – in the Old Town, at Mića Pavlović Square, under the curatorial guidance of director Sara Stijović.
A special highlight is the new selection called TV Niša, this year presented as a non-competitive program, showcasing the latest productions in television series and featuring a competitive session for young Montenegrin creators.
The Kino Evropa program, as well as films from the Adriatic Region Film Network, will be screened in Dvorana Park.
At Forte Mare Fortress, audiences will enjoy special screenings dedicated to legends: Buka – a film portrait of drum virtuoso Dragoljub Đuričić, Vude, You Have Won – about the life and artistic journey of Oscar-winning director, screenwriter, animator, and professor Dušan Vukotić, and Haustor – about the eponymous cult music band.
One of the special screenings will also feature the documentary Stanić, A Century, about the renowned painter Vojo Stanić, directed by Andra Martinović.
In collaboration with the Montenegro Film Center, the Montenegro Film Rendezvous will be held for the second time, bringing together filmmakers, producers, selectors, and professionals from across the region, creating opportunities for new partnerships and co-productions.
The 38th Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro and the Municipality of Herceg Novi, with the executive producer being the Public Institution of Culture “Herceg-Fest.”
