Biografija

Andrija Mardešić (1985) je rođen u Splitu. Diplomirao je filmsku i TV režiju na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Autor je nekoliko nagrađivanih kratkih filmova (Iris, Nas dva, Stepska lisica…) prikazanih na mnogim domaćim i međunarodnim festivalima. Nakon što je diplomirao, režirao je i pisao scenarije za mnogobrojne televizijske projekte kao što su serije: Ruža vjetrova (2011/12), Nemoj nikome reći (2014), Kud puklo da puklo (2015), Generacija Y (2014/15), Na granici (2018/19). Napisao je i režirao zajedno sa Davidom Kapcem prvi dugometražni igrani film “Stric” (2022) koji je imao premijeru na festivalu u Karlovym Varyma gdje je dobio posebno priznanje, a onda je prikazan na više od 40 festivala.

Andrija Mardesic (1985) was born in Split. He graduated in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. He made several award-winning short films (Iris, Two of Us, Steppe Fox…) screened at many national and international festivals. After graduation, he directed and wrote scripts for many television projects such as TV series: Wind Rose (2011/12), Tell No One (2014), Whichever Way the Ball Bounces (2015), Generation Y (2014/15), On The Border (2018/19). He wrote and directed with David Kapac his first feature film titled Uncle (2022), which premiered at the Karlovy Vary Festival, where it won a special award, and then was screened at over 40 festivals.
