Sinopsis

In the remote mountain regions of Montenegro, a mother and daughter, shepherdesses, proudly defend their ancestral mountain from the threat of becoming a NATO military training ground for mortar live-fire exercises, awakening memories of the violence that tore their family apart.

Director

Biljana Tutorov is a screenwriter, director, and producer whose work focuses on stories centered on women. She graduated in art history, film anthropology, and acting. She is the founder of the educational initiative CIRCLE, the first recipient of the Diane Weyermann Fellowship, a member of the European Film Academy, and a frequent jury member at international film festivals.

Petar Glomazić is a film director and aeronautical engineer. A passionate mountaineer throughout his life, he is dedicated to documenting the traditions, people, and landscapes of the region. He is the co-founder and vice president of the civic initiative Sačuvajmo Sinjajevinu. The Mountain is his feature-length debut.
