The Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival is the most prominent film festival in Montenegro, with a tradition spanning more than three decades. The international programme of the festival’s 34th edition features competitive sections including Feature Films, Student Films, and the Adriatic Region Festival Network selection. The non-competitive Kino Europa programme showcases recent works by established European filmmakers.

The Festival’s main objective is to promote regional and international cinema, with a particular focus on providing a platform for filmmakers and films that demonstrate an authentic artistic sensibility and a bold approach to social reality, cinematic language, and production. Special emphasis is placed on presenting a cross-section of contemporary cinematic poetics and creative expression.

• Grand Prix – Golden Mimosa for Best Film
• Golden Mimosa for Best Director
• Golden Mimosa for Best Screenplay

• Živko Nikolić Award for Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Expression
   

Student Film Competition

A three-member jury composed of renowned filmmakers presents the following awards:

• Golden Mimosa for Best Student Film 
• Two Special Jury Mentions

Adriatic Region Festival Network Selection

The audiences of the Sarajevo Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival, Auteur Film Festival Belgrade, and the Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival present the following award: 

• Adriatic Audience Award for Best Film

In addition to the awards listed above, the following awards are also presented:
