When her family is struck by poverty, Adela, driven by her passion for skateboarding, defies a rigorous society to save her underage sister from an arranged marriage.
Dina Duma is a Macedonian director born in 1991. She graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2014, and in 2016, she participated in the Berlinale Talents program. Her debut feature film SISTERHOOD won the Special Jury Prize in the East of the West program at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2021. SKATEBOARDING IS NOT FOR GIRLS is her second feature film.
