A hen escapes from an industrial farm and finds refuge in an abandoned seaside restaurant. As she struggles to protect her offspring, a human drama of poverty, smuggling, and moral choices unfolds around her.
György Pálfi (1974) is one of the most prominent contemporary Hungarian film directors and screenwriters. He gained international recognition with films: Hukkle (2002), Taxidermia (2006), Final cut: ladies and gentelmen (2012) and Free fall (2014), all of which received acclaim at numerous international film festivals. He is known for his distinctive visual style and experimental approach to cinematic language.
