Iva works in a clothing factory in a small Bulgarian town. When she becomes the first confirmed COVID-19 case in her town, the community blames her for the outbreak. Rejected by her employer, family, and neighbours, she becomes a victim of collective fear and stigmatization.
Stephan Komandarev (1966) is a Bulgarian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He gained international recognition with films such as The world is big and salvation lurks around the corner (2008), The judgement (2014), Directions (2017) and Rounds (2019) which were screened at festivals in Cannes, Karlovy Vary, and other international film events. He is known for his socially engaged dramas inspired by contemporary Bulgaria.
