A film about the pioneers of Montenegrin cinema, Ratko Djurovic and Velimir “Velja” Stojanovic. The two were the most influential creative figures in Montenegrin filmmaking and the first acclaimed filmmaking duo in both Montenegrin and Yugoslav cinema. With the establishment of Lovcen Film in the 1950s, they helped bring about a remarkable creative and production breakthrough, in the former Yugoslavia and beyond. Ratko Djurovic was the first film screenwriter in Yugoslavia during the 20th century and one of the two founders of the Department of Dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade. Velimir Stojanovic directed The False Tsar, the first feature-length film in the history of Montenegrin cinema.
