Slaven Perović is an art historian, curator, archaeologist, and collector of drawings he finds at online auctions. The film follows his search for works by various authors, the process of their collection and archiving, and the relationship he develops with the drawings from his collection. Through fragments of paper bearing traces of unknown hands, a portrait emerges of a man whose life and identity are inextricably linked to art and collecting.
Parallel to the exploration of his collection, the film offers an intimate look into Slaven’s private life, his experience as a gay man, and how his relationship with art, memory, and the past intertwines with his own identity.
Tadija Čaluković is a film director and screenwriter working in the field of documentary and feature films. He graduated in dramaturgy from the Academy of Dramatic Art (ADU) in Zagreb and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in film and television directing, specializing in documentary film.
In addition to directing and screenwriting, he writes prose and plays. He is the author of the novel Mutant in the Train (2018) and the poetic drama Literally. Approximately. (2023).
Čaluković is the founder and editor-in-chief of the online magazine Salome (salome.rs).
