Tonina, a caring and self-assured accountant, runs her company alongside her husband and daughter while keeping every aspect of the family’s logistics under control. On top of all her responsibilities, she also cares for her bedridden mother, who has dementia. Her younger sister, Tajana, and her family take a much more relaxed and less ambitious approach to life. The sisters’ relationship fractures when Tonina secretly buys a share of their family’s island house from their cousin Zeljka, despite their agreement to purchase it together. A year later, Tonina and Tajana attempt to reconcile during their mother’s birthday celebration, but long-buried tensions quickly resurface.
