Kolkata, India, August 1948. Teresa, Mother Superior of the convent of the Sisters of Loreto, is anxiously waiting for the letter that will finally allow her to leave her monastery and create a new order in response to the call she has received from God. And just as everything seems ready, she finds herself faced with a dilemma that challenges her own ambitions and faith at a major turning point in her life.
Born in Skopje in Macedonia in 1974, from the ages of six to twelve Teona Strugar Mitevska appeared as an actor on Macedonian television. Having studied graphic design, she went on to work as an art director and took up film studies in New York in 1998. Her films have screened to acclaim at numerous international film festivals, including The Woman Who Brushed off Her Tears, (2012) screened in the Panorama Section of the 2012 Berlinale.
