Marija is a skater living with her father, a truck driver, on the outskirts of Belgrade. Devastated by grief over her mother’s death, Marija cannot express her sexuality. She experiences it as a great secret that haunts her. Marija’s father grows close to a woman who moves in with her two daughters. Marija supports her father, but realises she cannot trust her new stepmother.
Maja Miloš (1983, Belgrade) graduated in film directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. She has directed eleven short films. Her debut feature film Clip (2012) screened at IFF Rotterdam, San Sebastián, Toronto, AFI, BFI, Karlovy Vary, BAFICI, Munich, etc., and won numerous awards, including the Tiger Award for Best Film at IFF Rotterdam. She has served on juries at IFF Rotterdam, Sarajevo, and Karlovy Vary. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts.
