The program dedicated to TV series, which the Herceg Novi Film Festival introduced last year, also brings the audience an exclusive insight into the latest regional series productions at its 39th edition. Screenings will be held at the Park Hall from August 23 to 27.
The selection this year includes regionally recognized names—from Nevio Marasović and Sandra Mitrović to Danilo Bećković, Gvozden Đurić, and Matevž Luzar—and their series, although still out of reach for the wider audience, have been announced as some of the most-watched titles in the region for the upcoming season.
The audience will have the opportunity to watch one episode from projects that are yet to premiere, as well as to talk with the creative teams: creators, directors, actors, and producers, who will reveal details to those present in Herceg Novi about the creation of the series Rock Me Gently, Pupin, There Will Be New Summers and The Vault.
“Television series have long since become one of the most significant formats of contemporary storytelling. They create stories that stay with us for a long time, characters we remember, and worlds we return to,” says program editor Stefan Bošković, writer, playwright, and screenwriter.
“The Herceg Novi – TV Series program will once again present some of the most interesting regional works to the audience, with the intention of gathering authors, producers, broadcasters, and viewers around a shared passion for good stories,” Bošković announces.
He expects that this fourth pillar of the Festival’s program—alongside feature films, documentaries, and student programs—will, in addition to discussions and the exchange of experiences, bring new collaborations and contribute to the further development of series production in the region.
