No one knows Svetozar Nikočević, but everyone has heard of Kika. The tattooed, elderly bodybuilder comes across as a walking threat. Arm circumference 55 cm—he repeats it proudly, comparing himself to Schwarzenegger, but “without steroids.” Beneath the long beard and headscarf is a gentle giant. Knife scars on his chest, a lost love, an empty house. A legend, or a man who does not know what to do with the silence?
Tamara Pavićević is a film director and theorist whose work sits at the intersection of social commentary and genre exploration. Through her short fiction films, documentaries, and video installations, she examines themes of cultural memory, the aftermath of trauma, and mental health. Her commitment to socially engaged art is reflected in her participation in the documentary program of Atelier Varan, an exhibition of the Council of Europe, and the Peace Congress in Berlin, as well as in her role as the founder of a non-governmental organization dedicated to cultural progress, human rights, and environmental advocacy. After completing a master’s thesis on feminist film theory and the characterization of women in horror, she is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Tokyo to further explore the mechanics and subversion of the psychological horror genre.
