In a land where mud preserves memories, a girl named Tako guides us through a world of myth and imagination, creating new stories from ancient echoes.
Dea Tcholokava is a Georgian film director with an academic background in socio-political sciences and film arts, which she pursued in Georgia and Germany. She collaborated with the media platform Chai Khana, active in the Caucasus region, on several projects, including Traffic Diary and Of Kids and Sea. She also worked as an editor and assistant director with prominent Georgian directors, including Lana Gogoberidze, Tato Kotetishvili, and Bakur Bakuradze. Her latest short documentary film What the Mud Whispers premiered at the Krakow Film Festival in 2025. That same year, she received a Documenta Archive and Goethe Institute scholarship.
